Look at the works above and compare them.  How are they similar?  How are they different?

Piet Mondrian’s work Composition No. 10 (Pier and Ocean) uses repeated geometric shapes (vertical and horizontal lines that cross) that Mondrian took from nature.

In order to create a dialogue with Mondrian in 2iPM009, Magdalena Fernández recreates the t-shapes, but adds animation (movement) and sound.  She uses the simulated sound of rain (a natural sound often heard in her native Venezuela) to link them back to from where they came:  nature.
