PASt EXHIBITION

chiachio & giannone:
Celebrating diversity

mar. 17, 2o19 – Aug. 4, 2019

As part of a collective making project, the Museum of Latin American Art (MOLAA) is proud to present the exhibition Chiachio & Giannone: Celebrating Diversity – comprised of the series Familia a 6 colores – a set of textile mosaics – and Banderas del orgullo, a group of flags in different formats made in collaboration with the Long Beach community. As a work in progress, this large participatory installation will add the voices of many authors and grow with the participation of other hands. Here, the family is represented by a constellation of artists united by their belonging to the LBGTIQ community; whose emblem is the six colors that dye the background of the whole.

This exhibition is organized by the Museum of Latin American Art and is curated by Gabriela Urtiaga, Chief Curator at CCK.
