An absolutely loaded visual journey through El Santo's Golden Age comic books, the innovative art of Jose G. Cruz, and the lucha-heroes and creepy creatures ...

MOLAA and LCX team up to create a virtual Latino Comics Expo September 13th - September 19th presented by Hyundai! The program will include demonstrations, panels, film screenings, lectures, and a virtual vendor marketplace.

For this event on Day 6, Spotlight: Masks, Monsters, Multi-Media Megastars and the Mystery of Their Modern Obscurity, participate in an absolutely loaded visual journey through El Santo’s Golden Age comic books, the innovative art of Jose G. Cruz, and the lucha-heroes and creepy creatures that followed them from page to screen and beyond. With some tough questions asked as to why these multi-million selling comics are so relatively unknown today...

Pre-recorded multi-media presentation.

Conducted by Keith Rainville

Additional support for this event is provided by San Manuel Band of Mission Indians, Josephine S. Gumbiner Foundation, Arts Council for Long Beach, Robert Gumbiner Foundation and City of Long Beach.
