Jackelyn Barajas (México, b. 1961)

Barajas was born in Mexicali, Baja California in 1961, where she continues to live. Since 1981, she has been part of various group and solo shows in differents sites across Mexico and beyond. She has obtained the following distinctions: 1st place in graphics, 3rd place in mixed media at the IX Bienal Plàstica of Baja California; 1st place in painting the State competition Tierra a la Vista. She was invited to participate in the gallery Estandartes 96. Her work appears in the book Treinta artistas plásticos de Baja California. Her work has also appeared in the magazine Cultura norte.
