Meredith Paul (Costa Rica, n.d)
Born in Philadelphia, Pennsylvania, Meredith Paul grew up in the country outside of Boston, surrounded by music and art. She completed formal studies in fine arts at Briarcliff College in New York, winning the Guggenheimer Prize for painting and graduating cum laude. She continued studies at the School of Fine Arts at Boston University and subsequently studied with various masters in New York, primarily in drawing. Since 1967 she has lived and worked in Costa Rica. Following a passion for traveling, she has spent time painting and drawing extensively in Haiti, Spain, France, South America and India. Her work is found in numerous private collections as well as in museums in the United States, Canada, Europe, and Central and South America.
