The art and altars are displayed to the public from September 26th through November 12th, 2018 in the MOLAA Education Gallery and are featured as a part of MOLAA’s Día de los Muertos curriculum.

CALL FOR ARTISTS!

MOLAA invites artists from Southern California to submit art works and ofrenda proposals for Beyond the Earth and the Sky, MOLAA’s 2018 Día de los muertos Exhibition.

The exhibit is a juried display of contemporary works by local artists that honors the Día de los muertos ritual of commemorating the lives of our deceased loved ones by building altars and artworks that share our stories.

The exhibition will take place from September 26, 2018 to November 12, 2018 in MOLAA’s Education Gallery. Deadline to submit works and proposals is Sunday, August 19, 2018 at 11:00PM. Artists may begin submitting entry forms at any time. There is no fee to submit a form or to participate.

The exhibition is open to artists of all backgrounds, national origin, gender identities and expressions.
