Calling all members! Join us Saturday, March 16 from 7 - 9 PM as we celebrate the opening of the exhibition Chiachio & Giannone: Celebrating Diversity comprised of the series Familia a 6 colores – a set of textile mosaics – and Banders por el orgullo, a group of flags in different formats made in collaboration with the Long Beach community. As a work in progress, this large participatory installation will add the voices of many authors and grow with the participation of other hands. Here, the family is represented by a constellation of artists united by their belonging to the LBGTIQ community; whose emblem is the six colors that dye the background of the whole.
This exhibition is organized by the Museum of Latin American Art and is curated by Gabriela Urtiaga, Guest Curator at MOLAA and Chief Curator of Fine Arts at CCK in Buenos Aires, Argentina.
