On October 9 - 10, 2021, the Latino Comics Expo will once again be hosted by MOLAA as part of our online programming. This event is part of the 10 year anniversary celebrations of the Latino Comics Expo and we want you to celebrate with us.

Saturday, Oct. 9th
10– 11 AM: RISING STAR: Kayden Phoenix's Latina Superhero Universe w/Professor Luis Aldama

5 - 6 PM: "Beto's World' - The Art of Gilbert Hernandez
Join Latino Comics Expo Executive Director, Ricardo Padilla, as he engages in a wide-ranging & entertaining discussion with Legendary Cartoonist, Gilbert Hernandez of "Love & Rockets", as he shares his influences, his Art, and his encyclopedic knowledge of Pop-Culture history. Gilbert has been awarded many awards , including the EISNER, many Harvey awards and the PEN Center Prize for Outstanding Body of Work
Sunday October 10th
2 – 3 PM: Killer Cartoons, Comics, and Creatures! A Spotlight on Crystal González (career spotlight) PRE-RECORDED
What do you get when you mix twisted cartoony graphics with the likes of Hellraiser and Felix the Cat?? It might start to look like the comic book series “In The Dark”. Join us as we spotlight the career and works of cartoonist Crystal Gonzalez

5 – 6 PM: "EL MUERTO LIVES"! - The Life and Times of Javier Hernández
Latino Comics Expo Creative Director, Javier Hernandez, looks back on his multi-decade career as a Comic Book Creator, Educator, and co-founder of the Nation's Premier gathering of LatinX comics creators.
Join LCX Co-Directors, (Ricardo Padilla & Bobby Hernandez) as we look back on the amazing myriad of characters created by Javier and his influence on several generations of artists & influencers.
