Raising Twins with Heart and Insight: A New Look at Twin Development
Do you want to parent your twins in a healthy way? Curious about how multiples experience the world? Join Dr. Joan Friedman, internationally recognized psychologist, author, and twin herself, for an insightful conversation about the emotional development of twins.

Drawing on over two decades of clinical work and personal experience, Dr. Friedman will explore topics including:

  • How twins form their identity as individuals

  • Common parenting challenges and how to navigate them

  • Building emotional resilience and independence

  • Supporting sibling relationships and managing rivalry

Whether you're a parent of multiples, a grandparent, educator, or simply interested in twin psychology, this event offers both practical advice and eye-opening perspectives.

Dr. Joan A. Friedman is a psychoanalytically trained psychotherapist who has devoted many years of her professional career to educating twins and their families about twins’ emotional needs. Having worked through her own twinship challenges and parented her fraternal twin sons, she is a definitive expert on twin development. She has written four books about various aspects of twin psychology. She has spoken to and consulted with culturally diverse groups of twins around the world. Dr. Friedman’s clinical work focuses on issues that adult twins confront as they adjust to life as singletons after having been raised as twins.

Dr. Friedman's books, including new release Beyond the Bond: Insights into Navigating the Challenges of Being or Raising a Twin-will be available at the MOLAA Bookstore.
