Geometric Abstract Art with Oil Pastels

In this project, students will learn about, and experiment with, colorful geometric abstract art inspired by the color theory of Venezuelan artist Carlos Cruz-Diez. Students will think, reflect, and create original artworks based on one of the central themes of Latin American art and culture (abstraction) and recognize connections between form, color, and community while learning how to use the medium.
