MOLAA and LCX team up to create a virtual Latino Comics Expo September 13th - September 19th presented by Hyundai! The program will include demonstrations, panels, film screenings, lectures, and a virtual vendor marketplace.
For this event on Day 4, Comics and the Classroom, learn how classrooms around the world experience the benefits of studying visual and textual culture together. Comics, one of the best examples of this intersection, offer unlimited opportunities for critical thinking and storytelling. Theresa Rojas (Professor, Modesto Junior College) moderates this panel discussion on comics and the classroom, featuring panelists Christopher Gonzalez (Professor, Utah State University), Kathryn Blackmer Reyes (Librarian, San Jose State University), and William Nericcio (Professor, San Diego State University).
