MOLAA and LCX team up to create a virtual Latino Comics Expo September 13th - September 19th presented by Hyundai. The program will include demonstrations, panels, film screenings, lectures, and a virtual vendor marketplace.
For this event on Day 5, Spotlight: Professor Latinx: The Journey of a Comics Scholar, Curator & Creator, features Ohio State University’s Frederick Luis Aldama, aka Professor Latinx. He shares his own journey with comics and how it led to a career writing award-winning books on Latinx comics, co-founding SÕLCON, making the first documentary on Latinx comics, curating a comics art exhibit, and creating his own comics and children’s book, The Adventures of Chupacabra Charlie.
