Hannah Shaka is an actor, clown, drag king, burlesque performer, teaching artist, and theatre-maker.

Join us for an outdoor painting class led by LA-based artist Priscilla Ortiz where we learn tips and techniques for painting figures based on a live model. Drawing inspiration from Chicana artist, Yolanda Gonzales, we will celebrate self-expression and wine!

  • Must be 21+ and bring proof of ID. NO EXCEPTIONS.

  • This is an outdoor class. Please bring a jacket and dress warmly.

Live model: Hannah Shaka is an actor, clown, drag king, burlesque performer, teaching artist and theatre-maker from Western Canada. Hannah received her MFA in Ensemble Based Physical Theatre in 2020 from Dell’Arte International School of Physical Theatre, where she was also awarded the Calgary Animated Objects Society Scholarship. Her recent work has landed her solidly as a performer at festivals such as Lost Lands, Dirty Bird Camp Out, Desert Hearts, and Lightning in a Bottle, reaching audiences in the thousands. Hannah believes in creating work that allows for healing through play and connection to one another. Her recent projects include Steers n' Queers: A Queer Clown Honkytonk Cabaret, which aims to celebrate the real queer history of country and western culture through comedy and music. She now lives in LA, where she works as a Teaching Artist and devises performances with other fabulously strange artists.
