Join us as we celebrate Asian and Pacific Islander Latinx art and culture at MOLAA and explore the instances of cultural synthesis between Asian, Pacific Islander & Latinx Communities in the US and throughout Latin America. Special focus on AAPI Latinx Artist Patrick Martinez with special guest, the Museum of Neon Art! You will connect with colleagues and learn hands-on art activities to take back to your classroom. Join the MOLAA education team and a special surprise guest as we explore the collision of art and science in the classroom. Taking inspiration from MOLAA’s most recent exhibition, Arteonica*, we will introduce key concepts to understand the relationship between art, science and technology in Latin America, and learn how to integrate hands-on classroom experiences that meet the Next Generation Science Standards (NGSS). Community Art Workshop *Special Edition:  Digital Body Language Workshop with Analivia Cordeiro and Nilton Lobo

Rooted in the first experiments in 1973 to the results of the use of Deep Learning, in a body practice anchored in the technology of each era, Analivia Cordeiro and computer scientist Nilton Lobo lead this dance and movement workshop in which participants are guided through movement exercises and created original choreographies inspired by the relationships between the body, movement, visual and audiovisual art, and media technology. Join is for this very rare opportunity to create art alongside this innovative duo. Cost: $25
